Would you like to learn how to build electricity generating windmills to run your home? This was exactly what I had been searching for in the past too, and finally managed to succeed in doing so by downloading step by step manuals and watching tutorial videos online. They showed me how to construct my own windmills in just a few days using low cost materials that are readily available. This system has helped me saved lots of money and I was glad that I made the decision to build a wind powered renewable energy system.

1. How Much Space is Required for You to Build your Own Electricity Generating Windmills?

Initially I had the idea that the windmills would require a lot of space and wind energy to work effectively. This misconception came about after I had read many inaccurate comments provided by other homeowners on the Internet. In actual fact, the windmills do not need to be suspended very high up in the air to work effectively. Running the turbines are also extremely low cost and provides a lot of electrical savings on the long haul. It can also run very effectively in slightly low to moderate wind conditions.

2. What Else Do You Need to Consider Before You Build your Own Electricity Generating Windmills?

Your priority should be to estimate the amount of cost savings you can achieve and whether or not the environmental and space conditions around your house are suitable. To find out the average wind speed around your home, you can check your local wind map and roughly gauge how effectively your wind turbine can function under the type of conditions. On average, the electricity generating windmills work optimally with at least 9 mph wind speed. In terms of costs, I was able to acquire all the materials and finish the construction with less than $200 in total.

3. How Much Money Can You Potentially Save with your Own Electricity Generating Windmills?

On average, I am saving at least 70% of total bills I used to pay to my local grid company as compared to before. You can visit my website link below to find out more about the renewable energy system guides I followed to build my windmill turbines.

Power cuts and incessant power failures can be so irritating and quite annoying. This has been responsible for the slow technological growth of most third world countries.

Industrialization evolves around effective electricity supply and management.

Most third world countries will perpetually remain in that category until the constraints to useful, regular and steady power supplies are removed. Nigeria, for instance is a leader in the third world economy, aptly tagged ‘the giant of Africa’, but electricity supply for the nations citizenry and industrial concerns is grossly inadequate. The country has not been able to surmount a 4,000mw generation barrier she has had to grapple with for years, in spite of her growing population, which is estimated to be about 150 million.

Often it has always been argued that State monopoly and control of the electricity industry in most developing nations contributed to this mess as a result of administrative bottle-necks, corruption and inefficiency associated with State -run agencies. At the same time the electricity business must be taken seriously, because of the high capital involved and also the need to get high return on investments in order to remain in business. Healthy competitions should be encouraged as the market is liberalized to take other participants with States’ monopolies broken.

The challenge that arises most often is how to determine the right electricity pricing index in the midst of poverty, high unemployment rate and poorly remunerated populace; this coupled with the high cost of electricity production has been a major hindrance to the implementations of workable energy policies in the third world nation. This however, suffice to say, can not negate the fact that effective electricity supply, holds to key to industrialization, growth and poverty eradication in developing nations.

Electricity is absolutely essential to any business. It doesn’t matter if you are a big IT company or a small Bookshop – no matter what type of business you run, you will need electricity for one reason or another. If you are an IT company It can be used to power the computers, printers, servers and network. If you are a company that does not require the use of computers you will still need lighting and usually telephones (electricity is required for these). Because businesses tend to use electricity all day every day standard electricity bills would be extremely high, therefore certain companies specialise in supplying it purely for businesses and the companies that do deal with both more than often offer business rates.

Business Electricity is worked out differently for cost, every aspect of running a company is taken into consideration for example the duration that items will be running and the amount of electricity required on a daily basis… Packages are provided and can be tailored to meet you needs and requirements. Depending on the type of business you are and how your company operates will determine the type of package you require.

If you are looking into this then have a good look around, it is quite a competitive market and some companies offer much better deals than others. Find a company that sounds good to you and has a good reputation, from here pick up the phone and give them a call, run through all of your requirements with them and see what package they can offer you.

Inventors the world over have produced some wonderful power producing machines. With the clever use of easily obtainable items they have developed perpetual motion magnetic machines. These machines allow you to produce electricity at home, eliminating your electricity bills.

If you are feeling the pinch of the recession as most of us are then think to the future. You don’t want to be in this situation ever again and you do not have to be. You can start making savings quickly and easily by building one of these small machines and installing it in your home. Once you have your system up and running you will never have another bill to pay.

To make electricity at home does not have to involve solar panels or wind turbines fine as they are in the right circumstances. Using magnets that repel and attract in conjunction with hardware that is easily available this concept is now achievable in a more compact and acceptable way. While this is hard to believe at first, the proof is all there. All you have to do is embrace it.

The government will not be advertising this technology anytime in the near future for obvious reasons but the inventors want you to have the knowledge. The knowledge that for around $100 and a few hours work, you can have one of these perpetual motion magnetic machines which will produce all the electricity you need for life at no further cost.

We are all more and more conscious of the need to reduce our dependency on fossil fuels and of doing our bit to help save the planet. If by doing that you can make huge savings by eliminating your electricity bills that has got to be a great deal for all and certainly worth looking into.

If you are ready to embrace new ideas, help save our planet and save costs for yourself then look into how you can produce electricity at home with magnets.

Energy prices in general are going up. Whilst the oil and gas market is extremely volatile, electricity prices will fluctuate. As oil and gas supplies get increasingly rare, it is inevitable that electricity prices will become more expensive.

In order to combat rises in the cost of electricity, there are a number of measures you can take in order to reduce the cost of your utility bills. One of the most important things you can do is address the lighting in your home, which could help you make significant savings when it comes to the amount of electricity you use each month.

Perhaps the biggest single change you can make with lighting in the home is to get rid of standard light bulbs and switch to energy saving light bulbs. The energy saving variety are supremely efficient and, although more expensive initially, will save you a considerable amount of money over time. Energy saving light bulbs only use 20 per cent of the electricity of a normal light bulb – a massive 80 per cent saving! Energy savers also last 10 times as long as a standard light bulb, which will save you having to constantly buy new bulbs and the hassle of replacing bulbs regularly.

It’s a common misconception that energy saving light bulbs are extremely expensive. T he cost of each bulb has come down considerably in recent years, and energy efficient bulbs now tend to cost around £3 each. At the current rate of electricity prices, one energy saving bulb could save you as much as £7 a year from your electricity bill, not to mention saving the environment from 26 kilograms of CO2 per year.

When it comes to light fittings, try and keep the number of lights you need to a minimum. One bulb per fitting is optimal as opposed to double or quadruple fittings. If you need more light in a room, opting for a brighter bulb can often be just as effective as having more bulbs in the same fitting. Having fewer bulbs is greener and cheaper for your utility bill.

Of course, one of the best ways of saving energy is not to use electricity at all, and the best way to do that is to switch off your lights as often as you can and make the best use of natural light. Natural light is better for your eyes than artificial light and has the additional bonus of being free. So, especially in the summer months, you can avoid high electricity prices by not relying on your light bulbs too much. Lastly, always switch the light off when you leave the room. It’s so simple but can save you a lot of money in the long run.

Olivia has 2 years experience writing articles about electricity She also enjoys writing on various other subjects

Solar power electricity installations are gaining moment all over the world. Stock of fossil fuels is fast depleting and alternate natural energy solutions, like solar power electricity is becoming popular.

Natural energy solutions are environment friendly with little or no air pollution and no emissions or greenhouse effects. Solar power electricity production is also free of noise pollution.

How is solar power electricity produced?

It is produced by converting light from the sun into electrical energy using a silicon wafer / semiconductor called a photovoltaic cell. This technology is simple and easy to maintain.

What are the main parts of a typical residential solar power electricity system?

A typical residential system would have 4 key Parts:

1) Solar panel array

2) Charging controller

3) Batteries

4) Inverter

Solar panel array: Solar panel array is made up of several solar panels. A series of photovoltaic cells working in unison in a module form the solar panel. The solar panel array needs to be exposed to sunlight, and the array is normally installed on rooftops where sunlight exposure is more. The solar array converts light energy into solar power electricity. Electrical energy in the form of 12 volts (DC) is produced by the solar panel array.

Charging controller: The charging controller is the device that controls the amount of charging for the batteries. Batteries should not be overcharged, neither should they be undercharged. This device, which sits between the solar panel array and the battery bank, controls the charging.

Batteries: These are deep cycle batteries used for storage of solar power electricity produced by the solar array panel. The 12 volts (DC) produced by the solar panel array is stored in the batteries. The charging controller regulates charging, thus extending the life of these batteries.

Inverter: The output from batteries is 12 volts (DC) and can run only devices that work on 12 volts (DC). Most home appliances work on 110 / 220 volts (AC). Hence 12 volts (DC) needs to be converted into 100 / 200 volts (AC). The inverter does the job of converting 12 volts (DC) into 110 / 200 volts (AC).

Along with these four main components several other hardware accessories, wires and connectors would be required to have the complete solar power electricity system functional.

Deciding on the best ways to make electricity at home depends on a few factors such as your location and budget and can be somewhat different for everyone. The good news is that you can easily mix the various forms of electrical generating options, and benefit from whichever works best for your needs and location.

Power From the Sun – Solar Cells

Solar cells have been used for a long time to turn the power of the sun into electricity and have dramatically improved in recent years. Modern solar cell systems are more efficient, easier to install, and less expensive than systems released even a few years ago.

This form of alternative energy is the most popular among homeowners and can have a substantial impact on lowering your electricity bill. Choosing the correct type and size of system for your needs depends primarily on where you are located. Some areas benefit more from their continued exposure to the sun, but ultimately every home can use solar cells to generate electricity at some level.

Wind Generators

Another category of electrical generating device is a wind generator (also referred to as a wind turbines or windmills). These have become quite popular in recent years due to improvements in design. There are two main styles of wind generators, based on a horizontal spinning propeller style or vertical axis design.

The horizontal wind generators tend to be more efficient in converting a passing wind into electricity, but are typically larger and need to be mounted higher than the vertical designs. They are usually mounted on a tower about 15 – 50 feet in the air.

The vertical wind turbines are usually smaller and less efficient than the horizontal designs, but these are improving each year. The advantage to the vertical design is that it will catch wind at a lower velocity than the horizontal versions. In addition, a vertical turbine does not have to be rotated to face the wind the way a horizontal turbine does, so it can actually be spinning more often as a result.

Watermills

Watermills are a bit of a unique application of electrical generation that are great if you have a stream or moving water near your home. They can be a very simple design and involve little more than a paddle wheel positioned in the flowing water, whose spinning shaft is connected to a generator.

The advantage to this form of alternative energy is that unlike wind or solar, it is more consistent. It is also possible to increase its output by varying the size of the wheel or gear ratio.

Tying It All Together

The nice thing about all of these alternatives is that they can work in harmony to help you lower or even eliminate your electrical costs. You can install any or all of these technologies and connect them to your home.

These increasingly popular ways to make electricity at home are very complimentary and together they can have a major impact in helping to both lower your electricity bill and help the environment.

Did you know that you can build your own wind and solar powered generators for less than $200 that, in some cases, will pay back the investment in just a month or two.
Do you want to learn how you can use renewable electricity energy sources to run your house? Electricity consumption is at an all time high today and still rising, and this high demand is expected to cause energy prices to keep increasing in the near and long term future.

1. Is It Really Possible to Use Alternative Energy Sources to Run a Home?

It is now possible to build your own renewable energy system at home to produce your own electricity. This has helped me reduce my power bills by more than 80% and will also help reduce the amount of pollution into the atmosphere.

2. Solar Electricity Energy Sources

Solar power from the sun can be harnessed by making your own solar panels on the roof. This is one of the best renewable energy sources. The electric power generated can be used to run many household appliances. You can choose to install a battery system to store excessive electricity for future use or sell it back to the grid for profit.

3. Using Wind Alternative Electricity Energy Sources

Wind energy has traditionally been harnessed by windmills to grind up grain. It is a great alternative to traditional fossil fuels as they are very energy efficient and readily available.

4. Why Use Alternative Electricity Energy Sources?

Many people still think that renewable energy systems are still just a fantasy, when in fact they are already in existence and in use at many households. Hopefully, renewable energy will be used on a large scale one day as this will reduce pollution and save up spendings on electricity.

It seems that every winter the cost of electricity goes up, this is true whether you live in the northern colder areas or the southern warmer areas. No matter where you live winter electricity rates kick in and you face higher than normal electric bills. This can really put a damper on your spending money, you may even find that you do not have the money for other bills as a result.

Therefore, what you really need to be doing is saving money on your electric. You may not believe it but some simple steps, which you may not have ever thought of before, can save you literally hundreds or even thousands of dollars. We will provide you with some electricity saving tips. For instance, did you know that just by using space heaters in specific room, instead of using your central heating system, you can save more than $1,000 each year in electricity?

With that being said, here are some great electricity saving tips that could help you dramatically reduce the amount you pay each year.

Take Care Of The Bigger Problems

There is no use in worrying about the little things such as using the microwave, it is more important to put your focus on the bigger items such as electric heating, dryers, water heaters, refrigerators, and your other big ticket items. Some extremely simple steps, which really do not cost you a great deal of money to start with, can save you a great deal of money on your electric bill.

For example, by eliminating the use of your dryer and using laundry racks or clothesline, which by the way may only cost you about $20, can save you more than $100 each year in electricity. Other simple things like using fluorescent light bulbs instead of regular ones can save you as much as $90 per year. Just making sure your computer is “sleeping” while not in use can save you almost $60 per year.

Believe it or not these seemingly small acts can save you big money. For instance, if you wash your clothing in cold water you may save as much as $150 a year, if you need warm water, you can save over $70 a year. Furthermore, if it is affordable, updating your older appliances can also save you money on electricity.

Getting a newer refrigerator can save money, as well as an energy efficient stove, washer, dryer, heating element, or water heater. Save money on electric this winter and enjoy the extra money in other areas of life.
