If you are an IT company It can be used to power the computers, printers, servers and network. If you are a company that does not require the use of computers you will still need lighting and usually telephones (electricity is required for these). Because businesses tend to use electricity all day every day standard electricity bills would be extremely high, therefore certain companies specialise in supplying it purely for businesses and the companies that do deal with both more than often offer business rates.
